The website StopFraudColorado.gov has been developed by the Consumer Protection Section of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office to support our mission of protecting consumers and businesses from the unscrupulous behavior of fraudsters operating throughout our state.

This site is comprised of information reflecting a wide variety of scams reported to our office by consumers, businesses, local, state, and federal agencies, along with numerous other law enforcement officials throughout our communities.

While the site is not exhaustive, it can be utilized as an educational and reporting tool for the purposes of identifying, preventing, and reporting fraudulent activity throughout Colorado.

The Colorado Attorney General’s Office encourages you to report fraud!

Why Report Fraud? Reporting fraud is a key component in identifying patterns of concern. Fraud reports enable our office to identify and devote our limited resources to the most egregious cases involving widespread harm to Colorado consumers and the associated business environment. Information from the public contributes to potential investigations and possible legal action taken on behalf of the State of Colorado. To learn more about the various scams affecting Colorado citizens, please visit the Fraud Center. If you believe you have been victimized by a scam or wish to report suspicious activity, please file a report here.
